Live stream drone filming at Hollywood’s Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Premiere opening gala, red carpet arrivals and with Lady Gaga’s surprise jazz show. The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures officially opened in Los Angeles, and everyone from Halle Berry to Cher was on the star-studded guest list. It’s not the Oscars, but it certainly looks like it. The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is holding its opening gala tonight, Sept. 25, with a guest list that includes Lady Gaga, Brad Pitt, Regina King, Kristen Stewart, Nicole Kidman, Cher, Queen Latifah, Angela Bassett, Kate Hudson, Spike Lee, Patty Jenkins, Tiffany Haddish and so many more. Skyecam Drone Crew carefully operated over the RED Carpet arrivals and captured live stream drone filming  of Lady Gaga’s performance. It’s a museum organized by the same group that gives us the Oscars each year, and the venue includes a 33,000-square-foot theater designed by Renzo Piano for public programming, performances, and (fittingly) movie premieres.

The evening, co-chaired by Ava DuVernay, Ryan Murphy and Jason Blum, is honoring Sophia Loren and filmmaker Haile Gerima. Tom Hanks, Annette Bening and Bob Iger are also being recognized for their fundraising efforts for the museum.

The Academy Museum is the largest institution in the United States devoted to the arts, sciences, and artists of moviemaking. Aiming to understand, celebrate, and preserve cinema, it provides inclusive and accessible exhibitions, screenings, programs, initiatives, and collections. The building is concocted of exhibition spaces, two state-of-the-art theaters, an education studio, restaurant, retail store, and beautiful public spaces.
