#SKYKING: Panic in the Sky, the Hulu documentary directed by Patricia E. Gillespie, revisits the remarkable and tragic story of Richard “Beebo” Russell, a Horizon Air ground service agent who, in 2018, took an empty Bombardier Q400 aircraft from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and flew it for more than an hour before the flight ended in a fatal crash.

Released on Hulu on April 14, 2026, the documentary takes a deeper look at the person behind the viral “Sky King” story, bringing together interviews with Russell’s family and friends, archival material, air traffic control recordings, and previously unseen footage.
